GraceStation Foundation Celebrates International Women’s Day 2025
On March 27th, 2025, GraceStation Foundation hosted a vibrant celebration in honor of International Women’s Day, uniting 27 remarkable women under the theme of education, empowerment, and equality. The event was a stirring reminder that women are not only the heart of families but also powerful changemakers in society.
The day began with a heartfelt exhortation from Pastor Joeblick, who shared a scripture-based message, encouraging women to recognize their value and walk confidently in their God-given purpose.
A spirited panel discussion followed, led by Ms. Juliet and featuring Education Coordinator Ms. Ophelia and psychologist Ms. Diana. Together, they explored how mothers can become champions of their children’s education offering practical tips like staying in touch with teachers, assisting with homework, and monitoring academic progress.
The conversation deepened as Ms. Diana courageously tackled societal myths that often hold women back. She debunked harmful ideas like the belief that a woman’s greatest achievement is marriage and instead spotlighted the strength found in bold dreams and financial independence. Women in the room shared their stories, finding common ground and encouragement to rise above cultural pressures.
In collaboration with Lighten Up Africa Foundation, attendees also benefited from free health screenings and consultations a holistic touch to the day’s focus on well-being.
Before departing, each woman received a gift of maize but left with much more: renewed confidence, fresh purpose, and a deeper sense of sisterhood. With hearts inspired and heads held high, these women pledged to be intentional about their personal growth and their families' futures.
This was more than a celebration; it was a movement. A call to rise, lead, and inspire.
