Beatrice Donkor is a GSf beneficiary who is a single mother and also cares for her sister. She benefitted from GraceStation’s Let’s Work program that focuses on empowering GSf beneficiaries with soft skills in 2021 where she was trained in liquid soap and bleach making.  

Business however declined, when COVID- 19 precautions were eased in the country, that is the wearing of nose masks and the washing of hands. She then resorted to hawking food in her neighborhood alongside the liquid soap making. Beatrice had limited capital and so couldn’t sell more than 4 cups of rice in a day.  

In collaboration with Initiative Development Ghana- a partnered organization, she was able to access a loan service. With the funds received, she invested in her food business and is currently able to produce 7.5kg rice daily, raking in a more significant income. 

Beatrice is currently doing well in her business and aspires to produce and do business on a larger scale.
