Comfort is a needy beneficiary recruited onto the foundation in 2021 and has three (3) children that she fends for. Although she worked as a tabletop food vendor, business was not growing due to her very limited funds.

Comfort applied to GraceStation’s empowerment loan scheme and after various processes of assessment, she qualified. She was supported with an interest free loan through partner organizations- ID Ghana and AFAWI and ventured into increasing her scale of production.

Comfort reports an improvement in her daily sales with a weekly profit of GHS 200 and this caters for the needs of herself and her children as she does not get any financial support from the father of her children.

She also participated in a soft skill training where she learned how to make liquid soap. She is currently producing although on a small scale and selling on the side of her food business. The little profit she gets from this, according to her, goes a long way to solving some of the financial situations at home.

Comfort is confident that with all the support received from GraceStation, in no time, she would be self-sufficient and would move on, to give other people the opportunity to also benefit from GraceStation foundation’s various interventions.
