The Capacity Building Workshop was organised for some of our 2020 scholarship recipients in universities in and around the Ashanti region. The three-day workshop consisted of two days of classroom learning facilitated by empowerment and education project coordinators of GraceStation Foundation and a mock interview on the third day. The workshop, which was held on the KNUST campus in Kumasi brought together seventeen (17) learners who were taken through pertinent topics such as interviewing skills, workplace etiquette, CV writing, time management and essential work skills and the basics of starting your own business. With help from volunteers within the Aguila Group, mock telephone interviews were conducted with attendees of the workshops, giving them a trial run on what employers look for in prospective employees. All in all, the workshop was purposed to better equip these tertiary students for the corporate world.

Learner Testimony:

‘The program has in one way or the other changed my way of thinking and helped me build my confidence and approach towards interview and business planning’ -(Ransford)
