Twenty-seven(27) women in Nyanoa recently took a bold step toward empowerment through the Inspire Her Event, a hands-on training program designed to ignite their passion for crafts and beauty. The event aimed to introduce participants to new skills, from crafting fascinators and beaded bags to mastering nail art and eyelash application—each a potential gateway to financial independence.
Divided into two groups, the women rotated through the different skill modules under the guidance of talented facilitators like Miss Ewuraa from Eyidee Fashion and Miss Agatha, a former Grace Station Foundation beneficiary. With every lesson, their excitement grew, their confidence soared, and the possibility of turning creativity into livelihood became real.
By the end of the day, each participant had gained basic proficiency in all four areas. Some were particularly inspired—15 women expressed a keen interest in continuing fascinator and beadwork training, while five were eager to explore beauty skills further. Their enthusiasm is a testament to the power of opportunity: when women are given the right tools, they are ready to rise, create, and succeed.
But the Inspire Her Event was about more than just skill-building. It was about awakening potential, instilling confidence, and fostering a belief that every woman has the power to shape her future. With the right support, these newfound talents can evolve into thriving businesses, unlocking economic independence and transforming lives.
This event proved one thing: empowered women create empowered communities—and in Nyanoa, a new wave of entrepreneurs is just getting started. ✨
