GraceStation Foundation Inspires Future Leaders Through Education

On Thursday, March 13th, 2025, GraceStation Foundation brought the joy of learning to life during an inspiring educational session at Mrs. Edu-Sam’s New Nation School in Nima. With around 50 Upper Basic students in attendance, the session aimed to reframe education as more than just schoolwork, but as a powerful, lifelong journey.

Led by the energetic and passionate Education Coordinator, Ms. Ophelia Koshie Lamptey, the session opened with a quick assessment to gauge students’ existing views on education. From there, she guided them through an eye-opening exploration of what it truly means to learn, both inside and outside the classroom.

Using relatable stories and practical life examples, Ms. Ophelia helped students understand the value of both formal and informal education. She showed them how learning shapes character, decisions, and destinies.

Key messages that resonated with the students included:

  • Set clear academic goals each term
  • Make time for personal study
  • Seek help when facing difficulties
  • Surround yourself with positive peers
  • Practice good hygiene and prioritise mental health

A highlight of the day was a heartfelt focus on education for girls. Young women were encouraged to dream big and see themselves as future mothers, leaders, and nation-builders. Male students, too, were engaged, raising thoughtful questions about gender balance and emphasizing the importance of shared responsibility in creating an inclusive learning environment.

The session ended with refreshments and a group photo, capturing the joy, unity, and hope that filled the room. A post-session assessment revealed that students left more motivated and better equipped to pursue their educational goals.

This event is a part of GraceStation’s mission to unlock potential and bridge opportunity gaps for the next generation. The seeds planted that day will blossom into bright futures.
