Elizabeth is a widow with 3 children she is supporting. She supports her children with a nanny job with a monthly income of less than 300 Ghana cedis. This is a challenge to Elizabeth because she is unable to save enough to take care of the needs of her children and her health condition.
She has been diagnosed with Asthma which demands that she buys drugs and an inhaler every month to survive, however, she could not afford this, and this was of great worry to her. She reached out to the foundation’s health officer, informing of her situation and requesting support. With various evidence submitted and an assessment done of the situation, GraceStation has been funding the purchase of her drugs and inhaler, every quarter.
She was also made to join an empowerment training session and acquired skills in liquid soap, bleach and fabric softeners making to give her an extra source of income to be able to support herself.
She looks forward to the future with so much hope that in due course, she will be earning enough to fully support herself and her children.
